morning catch-up.

finals got the best of me this past week and a post was pretty much impossible until…now.

unfortunately i have little to report on apart from the fact that i managed to take three exams and pack up and clean my entire suite in the last day and a half. oh, and i made it to a barre class, too. despite feeling victorious, i am exhausted. thus, all i have to offer are a few pretties from earlier this morning.

my very last breakfast of the school year needed to be somewhere other than the cafeteria. i opted for a local favorite, rise-n-dine, where the lovely and extensive menu often turns ordering into a game of eenie-meenie-miney-moe. the surroundings aren’t too bad, either. i always love the freshly cut flowers and vintage-y mirrors that line the walls.

i was feeling healthy this morning, so i forewent the sweet potato pancakes for this bowl of steel cut oats, topped with berries, cinnamon, pecans, and a bit of maple syrup:

and coffee, of course. always, coffee.

after breakfast, we went for a quick stroll, admiring the picture perfect set-up for graduation out on the quad. not so fast, though; i have another two years before that…

the rest of the day was packing packing packing and cleaning cleaning cleaning until the very last minute.

that’s all for today, but check back soon for some serious new york coverage. i am returning home for the next four (!) months, which means more frequent blogging consisting of more than a measly morning catch-up.

happy wednesday!
