the last few days have been rainy, dark, and a little on the chilly side, but new york never fails to enthrall me–especially central park.
a walk in the park the other morning reminded me why the nickname “concrete jungle” doesn’t always fit this city.
sure, we are surrounded by bustling crowds of humans, shrieking taxi horns, and sky-high mega buildings, but there is a kind of peace that can be found in central park that is simply unparalleled.
the park can diffuse the raucous of city life seemingly instantaneously.
of course, the early morning hour meant the park was nearly empty and thus its effect was doubly calming.
there was not a shutterbug tourist in sight, so i happily filled their shoes.
you snooze, you lose, right?
